What codes does it check against?

It follows the codes adopted by your jurisdiction. That can include model codes like the IBC, IRC, IFC, IPC, IMC, and IECC, the National Electrical Code, accessibility standards such as ICC A117.1 and the ADA, and the referenced structural and life-safety standards those codes incorporate — along with any state or local amendments. When you select your jurisdiction, InstaPreView reviews against the codes of record adopted there.
